Alex grew up in the countryside, in the wilds of Suffolk in an old house surrounded by nature. He lived a life of adventure in rivers and forests, roaming freely in nature’s playground. After training at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London, Alex created his first collection in 1986 to critical acclaim. His intention was to produce excellent quality jewellery, which was originally designed, handmade and well priced. This was jewellery made to be worn and made to be loved and these values remain unchanged to this day. Alex Monroe jewellery is now synonymous with a very British sense of style. Now a much loved brand world-wide, each and every piece is individually designed and handmade in England by Alex and his team of expert jewellers. Inspired by nature and nostalgia, with every piece having a story to tell. Jewellery made to be worn, loved and treasured - values which remain unchanged to this day.

Beautiful 22ct Gold Plated Bumble Bee Pendant £180

Our classic Bumblebee's baby brother. This necklace is a slightly smaller and lighter version of our classic.

He has a wing-span of 2.5cm and is 1.4cm long.

This necklace comes on an adjustable chain, which can be worn at either 16 or 18 inches.

Elephant Stud Earrings £135

In 2004, Alex wanted to make pieces inspired by every corner of the world. A necklace of three marching Elephants was everyone’s favourite by far, so Alex has made some earrings to accompany it.

These earrings are a mix of solid sterling silver and 22ct gold plate. Each elephant measures 0.9 cm by 0.6 cm.

Baby Bee Bracelet £195

Beautiful bracelet featuring the slightly smaller Baby Bee, which will perfectly match either of the classic bee necklaces.

The bracelet is available in either solid sterling silver or 22ct gold plate. The bee measures 2.9 cm by 1.2 cm, the heart and flower are both 0.5 cm across. This bracelet is 7 inches long and has an additional 1 inch extension chain for easy adjustment.

Cheeky Crab Earrings

The Crab measures approximately 0.9 cm from top to bottom and approximately 1.6 cm at its widest point. The Cheeky Crab has managed to steal a 1.75 mm Diamond.

Alex took inspiration for this particular piece during a stroll along the beachfront in Suffolk. The shell is hand engraved with the words 'I Must Go Down to the Sea Again, To the Lonely Sea and the Sky'.

The Shell measures approximately 2 cm from top to bottom and approximately 1.8 cm in width. This necklace comes on a fixed 28 inch chain. The necklace is available in solid sterling silver only.
